No matter what the 6-car guy says, people really don’t like to shop. They’d much rather deal with a reliable salesperson they like and trust when they buy their next vehicle. In a good or bad market, when you build your Master List of prospects, you’re building a list of people who will come see you first, when it’s time for their next vehicle.
A solid customer base is filled with great prospects today, because…
• One of them wrecked their vehicle yesterday and needs a car now.
• One of their sons or daughters just got their license, and good market or bad market, they’re getting that first new or used car.
• Somebody’s lease is expiring tomorrow, too.
• And some of them are just ready to trade.
