It’s about the Journey, not the Destination
A lot of people feel that when they make $50K or even $100K or get a new car or house, they’ve arrived.
They should feel great, but there’s no such thing as standing still in anything. You have to continually improve your skills, your sales & income, your health and everything else that’s important to you.
The goal to sell more is NOT to put in more hours. The goal is to continually improve your skills, work habits, attitude & repeat business to improve your sales.
Most salespeople who make good money think, “I don’t need to improve, I earn a good living.”
With the runaway inflation we’re seeing now, if you aren’t constantly focused on improving YOU, your SKILLS, HABITS & PROCESSES, you’re financially sliding down the ‘slipperiest slope’ we’ve seen in decades. You have to earn more every year, just to break even again.
Too many people are like frogs in a frying pan, which gradually gets hotter. By the time they figure it out, it’s too late.
Salespeople waste more than half their day waiting, while there are so many ways to improve sales and income every year.
Don’t wait until your sales, income, health or anything else hits bottom before you start reaching for the top.
Remember that in everything…If it is to be – it’s up to me!
