Three salespeople were asked what they were doing. All three gave different answers…
I’m selling cars.
I’m making a living.
I’m building a future.
Did you ever think about it? What exactly are you doing in the car business? Are you an 80%’er who goes to work just to sell a car or to make a buck? Or are you one of the 20% who commit, work hard and learn more every day to build a future and turn the job of selling into a great career in sales?
If your response is just to “sell cars” or “make a living”, it’s a pretty good bet any real success and luck always seem to be just around the corner for you.
You can easily spot the 20%’ers…
- They really like their customers.
- They really enjoy selling.
- They learn all they can about people, success, their product and selling.
- They keep reaching higher levels of success in their careers.
- They’re always on the phone building and maintaining their business.
- They’re rarely discouraged because they know having a bad day means nothing. For them, a bad day is just a short-term disappointment on their long-term road to success.
Wow. Isn’t it great that you really do get to choose your own level of success both in sales and in life!
