Law Passes to Fund CCI Trained Dogs To Help Veterans
CCI – Canine Companions for Independence – is an incredible nonprofit organization that turns puppies into trained Service Dogs for people with disabilities, and I just wanted to share the great news with you that they have just announced their new program, which is for veterans with PTSD.
CCI took part in a 4 year pilot program with the VA that has proven to be so successful in assisting veterans with PTSD, that funding for the program was signed into law yesterday.
Turning a puppy into a CCI Service Dog is extremely expensive, and it takes about 18 months to fully train each dog. I’ve worked with CCI through NADA for 9 years to help raise funds to provide these trained dogs at no cost to the people they help.
As a US Army veteran from a family of veterans – where for four generations now, every man in our family has served our country – I’m excited that their new program for vets with PTSD has been approved. I know it’s going to help a lot of our veterans.
If you want to make a difference in a veteran’s life, too, I hope you’ll just follow this link…
