You need a plan…

Let’s lay out a plan for you to make 2026 your best year ever…

I want to stress how important it is to follow the steps to a sale to double your sales — just like the thousands of people who submit testimonials that I post on the blog every month.

It’s a new year, so let’s recap building rapport and investigating in the next few sales blog posts. This way, you’ll know where to focus your presentation, who to present which features to, and how to get them to listen with an open mind.

First, I want to point out something critical to every sale, that most salespeople never think about.

I’m talking about how your customers feel, when they’re asked to spend $50,000 (on average) in just a couple of hours, from someone they barely know.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the ‘sale’, we forget that if you don’t have a ‘read’ on your customer about who they are, and what they want, knowing 15 ways to close the sale won’t help you much.

The most important ingredient in every sale: It isn’t the vehicle, it’s your customer!

Because we do this every day, it’s easy to lose touch with our customers in general – and when we lose our empathy, (what it feels like to buy something this expensive), it always costs us sales.

Remember the difference between empathy & sympathy.

Empathy is when my wife gets a headache, I understand how she feels, and I get her an aspirin.

Sympathy is when she gets a headache, and I feel so bad for her, that I get one, too.

The longer we’re in sales, we either forget how tough it is on the buyer (the headache), and helping customers get through it without getting so wrapped up in it personally (the aspirin for them), that you can’t sell, because you feel so bad for them.

Watch for the next few sales blog posts where I’ll cover some reminders on how to avoid the ‘angst’ and ‘fear’ we also have buying cars, furniture or that new house.
