You can love selling, love your product, love working with people, and you can tell them everything you know about your product.

But if you don’t learn to ask the right questions to get the information you need to ‘sell’, you’ll be stuck at average like 80% of salespeople.

Why is asking the ‘right’ questions so important?

Like your 8 steps to a sale, there are 8 steps to buying expensive products, especially cars, and how you deal with them will make or break your sale.

If you can’t ask the right questions, you can’t Greet them properly or Build Rapport to make them comfortable with you.

Without questions, you can’t Investigate to find their hot buttons, or Control the conversation to keep building value.

Without questions, you can’t Bypass Price or color, equipment or other objections, and you can’t Close the sale or Overcome Objections to turn an interest in buying, into a sale and delivery.

The Basic Steps Of Selling

The problem with the Basic Steps of Selling is the word Basic.

It sounds so simple, it makes these steps seem almost insignificant.

The dictionary clarifies it…

“Basic” … plain, without anything extra (aka: simple)

If you add an (s) though, the definition changes dramatically…

“Basics” … the most important elements of something

If you were building a house, the foundation is the first, and most important step in the process.

Like the foundation, these Basics of Selling are the most important elements for you to master, if you want to sell more and earn more.

Follow the Basic steps in order, complete each one effectively, and you’ll definitely increase your sales and your commissions.
